1 Allison Morrow 101-311 September 1, 2009 Assignment: Diagnostic Writing Donnell Wilson’s supposedly “improbable” catch was obviously just a lucky break. The evidence clearly shows that true talent was not involved from the viewpoints of the most accurate descriptions of the football game. The opposing team’s accounts, both from player and the coach, said that they were being played tight. That could mean two things: that’s Donnell’s account of being able to run right through with no trouble would be false, or the anger from losing has clouded the judgment on if Donnell was really being played tight. It also says the ref never saw Donnell pushing Demetrius, which could be plausible. Referee’s are not all-powerful and can make mistakes. Also, most of the sources could be considered unreliable. The newspaper source is not a good source of information mainly because of it being a secondhand account. Although observers did call in scores and information, this firsthand account
