Overview We must not forget that everyone does not attend college after graduation from high school. Given access to an array of opportunities/supports, persons with /w/o disabilities may attain personally satisfying goals and a sense of well-being. Availability/access to supports is a national crisis for people w/disabilities. Eligibility for services is another difficulty for post high school. Eligibility criteria /policies may change so someone who received services in high school may not be eligible post high school.

Important questions to ask… How do we assist people in identifying/securing supports they want/need to attain personally satisfying adult outcomes/ What formal programs/agencies are available in typical communities, and what services do they offer to people? How can these programs and services be augmented by natural support networks & community connections to ensure that a person’s entire quality of life is addressed?
