Being someone who came to this country after many years of oppression and poverty I know how important it is to have a place to live where the pursuit of happiness is offered to everyone. My family came from the hills of Mexico where we poor migrant farmers trying to make are way to the United States to have a better quality of life. Of course the story begins when I was eleven years old and my parents sent me to live with my aunt and uncle in San Antonio, Texas. Migrating to America was a challenge for a young kid who had to be infused into the fast paced atmosphere that is a large American city. As I came around to learn the language and culture it was easy for me to adapt to a life of searching for higher education in order to make sure that I would have a better life than my parents and I never have to migrate away from my home and family again. Many of my Mexican heritages originate from the ancient Aztecs, who were the original people to inhabitant Mexico. As a Mexican –American you can find us in any major city anywhere in
