Week 6 Appendix I In the video of the declining fish stock in our nation’s oceans there is a water resource problem that is addressed. This resource problem is that the seas are be depleted of different species of fish. It has taken hundreds of years of people fishing the seas in large amounts for commercial uses that have led scientist to believe that fish are not as vital as once thought and are on the verge of extinction in some cases because of the high demand and overly fished waters around the world. There are other problems that besides the declining fish stock that result from techniques for catching fish such as the pollutants that are put into the waters by these large vessels and the harbors where they are stored can also be full of chemicals and excrement’s from previous voyages. The only thing that can be done in order to slow down the rate at which these breeds of fish are disappearing is to construct a management and sustainment plan that will benefit both sides that will make environmentalist and fisherman come together and work for a common goal.
