Kilpspringer was at Gatsby’s mansion for so long and so often, he received the nickname “the boarder.” He probably had no other home. 2. What does Gatsby tell Nick about himself? Gatsby tells Nick that his parents were wealthy people in the Middle West, all dead now. Gatsby was brought up in America, but educated at Oxford. After that Gatsby collected jewels in Europe. Gatsby also tells Nick about his time at war and Montenegro. 3. What “matter” did Gatsby have Jordan Baker discuss with Nick? Gatsby has Jordan Baker discuss the sad thing that happened to Gatsby with Nick. 4. Who is Mr. Wolfsheim? Mr. Wolfsheim is a friend of Gatsby, who claims to have fixed the 1919 World Series. 5. What does Jordan tell Nick about Daisy, Gatsby and Tom? Jordan tells Nick what she and Gatsby discussed at the party. Gatsby told her that he is in love with Daisy. Daisy fell in love with Gatsby in Kentucky prior to marrying

The meeting between Gatsby and Daisy is awkward. Gatsby knocks Nicks clock over. Gatsby is worried that thing will never be the same as they were in Louisville. After Nick has left Gatsby and Daisy along, he finds them gleaming with joy. 2. How long did it take Gatsby to make the money to buy the mansion? It took Gatsby three years to make the money to buy the mansion. 3. Why did Gatsby want Daisy to see the house and his clothes? Gatsby wanted to overwhelm Daisy with his luxurious clothes and mansion. 4. What had the green light on the dock meant to Gatsby? The green light on the dock meant to Gatsby, his and Daisys future together. 5. What had Gatsby turned Daisy into in his own mind? Gatsby in his own mind has built up Daisy with very high expectations....
