European settlers came to America in search of a better life, job, and religion. Freedom to do these things in the United States are because of Earlier settlers who battled to become an independent country. After reading chapter four the ethnic group that I most identify to would be the European settlers. They didn’t face any prejudice, segregation, or any racism but they did have to fight for their independence. Many of the settlers colonized in the United States from countries such as France, England, Germany and numerous European locations. They immigrated to America, faced harsh laws that England created, and fought for freedom to separate from Britain. The settlers that arrived in the 1800’s came for many things. The First settlers came from England in 1620 on the Mayflower. According to http://www.rapidimmigration.com/1_eng_immigration_history.html , “The settling of America began with an idea. The idea was that people can join together and agree to govern themselves by making laws for the common good. With that idea in mind, 102 English colonists (later referred to as the "Pilgrims") set sail in 1620 on the Mayflower. They landed in Plymouth, Massachusetts. This
