Emily Ko Prof. Jennifer Theater History 16 December 2008 Final Essay – 2 The play Hamlet was talking about a Danish prince Hamlet whose father was killed by his uncle, and mother was married to the uncle after his father’s death. Hamlet did not know who killed his father until the spirit of his father appears around the castle and told Hamlet to take the revenge of his uncle. Although Hamlet knew that he should kill his uncle, Claudius, in order to comfort his father in his after worlds, Hamlet was not sure Claudius was the killer. Hamlet decided to broadcast a play on the screed of the theater which is based on the event of Claudius killing his father. Claudius was too shocked to see the same event appearing on the screen that he jumped out of his seat and left the theater. Seeing Claudius’ reaction, Hamlet was sure that Claudius is the murder and he was ready to take the revenge. Until this part of the play we can see that the social concept of that time
