Thomas 1 Kristine Thomas Eng. 101-21 Professor Homer 21 April 2011 Marriage and Adoption is not just for Husband and Wife anymore In two decades the traditional family values has evolved. Families have gone from traditional mother and father, to father and father & mother and mother. The Stonewall Riot which took place in 1969 started the largest sexual revolution America has ever seen. Homosexuals once fought for acceptance, now they fight for equal marriage rights and adoption. Marriage has always been unification between man and women in societies all over the world. Children are biologically created from a man and women. Homosexuality is not only wrong biologically, but it is religiously and morally wrong. The word ‘marriage’ signifies a contract, formality or ceremony, which a matrimonial union is formed. Marriage has always been between a man and women. The foundational teaching on marriage and sexual issues is found in Genesis chapters 1 and 2. When Jesus was questioned about marriage, He referred to these 2 chapters (Mathew 19:1 - 12); Mark 10:1-12) Genesis teaches us that “male and female He created them” (Genesis 1.27). A Male and female were to balance each other. That is, God made Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve, or Madam and Eve. The complementary structure of the male and female anatomy is obviously designed for the normal husband-wife relationships. Design in human biology supports heterosexuality and contradicts homosexuality. God gave man and woman complementary roles in order to strengthen the family unit. Woman were the helpers that men needed (Genesis 2:18).
