This assignment was to look at the OSHA 300 log of a demolitions company during a 6 month time period. We were to find the total man hours worked, OSHA incident rate, severity rates, and average severity. To gather information about these calculations, I searched in our notes and found the equations needed to find the answer to these questions. I also looked on the OSHA website and found some related information. The total man hours worked that I calculated for the period was 234,000 hours. The incident rate that I calculated was 12, the severity rate was 23.1, and the average severity was 1.925.

Demolitions Inc, a building demolition company has 225 employees who work 40 hrs a week. This company is required just like all businesses to file incident forms to keep track of the incident. Our assignment was to find the total man hours worked, OSHA incidence rate, severity rate, and average severity of the safety incidents which occurred at Demolitions Inc.
