STATISTICS DEFINITION: The science of the collection, presentation, analysis and interpretation of  numerical facts or data is called Statistics.  Descriptive Statistics:     This is that branch of Statistics “which involves the  collection and manipulation of data”. This includes such things as computing, averages,  drawing graphs, presenting table.  Inferential Statistics:     Inferential Statistics is that part of statistics “which deals  with drawings of conclusions about the population based upon a sample”.
