Jensen and Rosas, 2007 Deardorff and Stern, 1994 Tsai P. - L, 1995 Findings Seemed more of a long literature review but does have some good data. Cannot view It shows how wealth distribution determines the accumulation of HK, and this explains the difference of income acro countries. In this model, education is limited to individuals with high enough wealth, and here we have an intergener transmission of wealth. This model shows multiple equilibria and shows the importance of having a large middle clas economic growth (larger accumulation of HK) Argue that ineq is harmful for growth using a theoretical model in which inquality has an impact on the accumulation and HK through its impact on policy. Paper focus on income inequality and also do an empirical analysis to show tha inequality leads to lower growth due to its impact on Kaccum. Paper argues that PK and HK accumulation depends ability of individuals to appropriate the fruits of their efforts (p.600). With inequality, there are tax and regulatory polic deter the accumulation of K.. They also argue that with high inequality there is high conflict whcih leads to less priva appropriation and therefore to lower accumulation and then lower growth FDI has a positive effect on growth in developing countries expecpt in agriculture, here it has a negitive effect on the of GDP. There is also a postive effect of FDI on educational inequality. Paper compares the differences in how the technology (food and manufacturing goods and FDI and in contrast how the poor use it (primarly for food) FDI can lead to income inequality because of growth only in the leading sectors, causing stagnation in traditional sec be harmed by inflation. An increase in trade can alleviate this inequality some what. There is a negative relationshbe harmed by inflation....
