If you cannot also see the state diagram and state assignment, write them on paper. I first thing determined the sequence of x values (and wrote that in the appropriate answer blank). Using the x values already determined and looking at the state diagram I traced through the timing diagram and wrote the e.g. ACBBD sequence of states. (Actually, I wrote that ACBBD state sequence into the z answer blank -
