READING AND COMPREHENSION 2 Reading and Comprehension When reading the article titled, “8 Secretes to a Knockout Business Presentation,” the words per minute result were 257. My understanding of the eight secrets is: Present the unexpected piece of information that will stimulate audience thinking. Avoid information overload by removing irrelevant words and pictures from the presentation. Omit excessive humor (This is not standup comedy.) Practice delivery, including speech, tone, and body language. Include powerful props to create a memorable presentation. Focus on the audience and the solution to their problem. Avoid personal and company history. Speak with simple language that people understand and explain all terminology and acronyms. Present facts with something other than PowerPoint in a presentation.
