ENC1102 Anthony Nappi A Dance with the Devil Just like every other Friday, I sat in my room at around three in the afternoon wondering what the night would bring with my friends. I wanted something bigger, something that made me feel like a man. I called up a couple of my friends and found out that one of our friend’s parents went out of town and he had the house to himself. I sat all day thinking of the potential of this night. As the night approached, all I could think about is what my friends and I could do to take advantage of this opportunity. My mother always told me, the day that a black cat crosses your path to think twice before doing anything you should not be doing. I never listened to her but I could not help but to notice a black cat standing in the middle of the street when I walked outside. My plan was to drive over to my friend’s house and convince him to let my friends and I invite a lot of people to his house and to have Jordan, my best friend’s older brother to buy us alcohol. I thought twice when I saw the cat but nonetheless I went through with my plan.
