Arthur Begtine TPER 201 Journal for Liz Valdez The experience of TPER 201 has been great this semester. Participating in this class has opened my eyes in many ways. I’ve discovered things about the acting world I, in fact, knew very little about beforehand, and also about myself, on a personal level. First of all, I thought acting was much simpler than it really is. Technically speaking, little did I know all the details that go into being a great actor and into making a scene great. Details such as breathing, pronunciation and facial expressions go a long way into making a performance go from being good to being great. For delivery, I’ve learned that you can use your voice and breathing in a certain way to make a specific point come out a specific way and now see that warming up and getting into character is essential. Too, when sharing the stage with another, performances are complimentary and so what your partner does is almost as important as what you do towards making your performance a
