There are many different types of networks. A broad overview of these networks may include, Home networks, which can be broken down into two more categories. Wired home networks in which it has three sub-categories. Also included in the “Home networks” category is, wireless home networks. Using a home network, users are allowed to connect multiple computers and devices together. Home networking saves its users a lot of money, time, and effort with its conveniences of connecting to a network from home. Approximately 39 million homes in the U.S. have multiple computers at that particular place of residence. Many vendors offer packages for home networking that consist of all the necessary hardware and software to network a home using wired or wireless tactics. There are three types of wired home networks; Ethernet, phoneline and the powerline cable (Travis, 2008). Traditional Ethernet networks require that every computer used to connect to a network computer have built-in network capabilities
