Enthusiasm Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm. (Ralph Waldo Emerson) My life has been riddled with many obstacles that most people my age have not had to deal with. Despite reaching many breaking points in my life I have learned that nothing can hold me back if I approach every obstacle with enthusiasm, desire and an overall positive outlook on life. Just as Emerson proclaimed, I believe that enthusiasm is the key to success in this harsh place we call home. During my childhood I was a product of a father that was addicted to crack, who left my mother in mental, physical, and financial shambles. My mother was left with three children and she did not even graduate high school. I believe that seeing my mother conquer the unconquerable and succeed with nothing, has instilled in me a feeling that I can accomplish anything. I believe that only a person with an enthusiastic outlook on life can accomplish what she did. After a few years my mother met a guy that I call my dad. He was there for me in my most crucial years, when as a young boy I was searching for my identity. My dad fulfilled a part
