Unformatted text preview: Andrew Sims COM 2135 RR16 12/6/10 Response to RR1 My experience in this class has been one to remember. It has enhanced my knowledge in the field of journalism. I have taken a class like this before a t my prior university, and I didnt retain much of the information that was being taught there. The style of this class appeals to the retention of information being presented. Instead of just quizzing someone on the logistics of certain information, the class forces you to put them to work to learn a writing style. When I wrote RR1, I was asked what I expected of this class, to learn about the different aspects of journalism, I said. I thought that it would be like the last class I took and that I would be able to breeze through it. The challenge took some getting used to, before I finally realized that journalism wasnt something that I could put off until the last minute to try and complete. I realize now that there is more to it than sitting in front of a computer and typing a few sentences...
