Unformatted text preview: Tyler Connally Ethics Case study June 5, 2011 Case Study Page 343 The case of a Discouraged Professional was a good case to study because of the many ethical dilemmas that are involved. While reading the case I felt that the professor was making wise decisions based off Prudence’s performance in the classroom. I feel that he felt that this class was extremely detrimental to her in the long run that if she could not master this class then she ultimately could not master her desired profession. I feel that the professor was extremely justified in blocking Prudence from getting her masters at this time because of the way she lacked a key component in becoming an effective counselor. Prudence lack of empathy and connection with others can cause potential harm to her clients because in the professional the clients need a sense of feeling and that you actually care about them.
