DISC ASSESSMENT 2 effectively and appropriately. Everyone takes information in differently and also convey their messages in different ways. The DISC model was based on the foundations theorized by Dr. William Moulton Marston in the 1920s (DISC report). His theory was that people can have any of four personality types: Dominance, Inducement, Steadiness and Compliance. These were based on two basic drives, Motor and Compass drive. Motor drive represents outgoing or fast paced people and reserved or slower paced people. The compass drive represents task oriented or people oriented people. This theory says that people have more prominent features in several of these four personality types. This is how the DISC assessment was created. This assessment can be used to better communicate with others and in more practical ways. They help to clearly express your thoughts and build healthy relationships with others (DISC report). My Personality Type My DISC results showed that I have most dominant areas in Style S and Style C. This means that I have both a people oriented and task oriented style. The S style describes someone who is focused on facts, rules and correctness. The C style describes someone who is focused on preserving relationships while also maintaining peace and harmony (DISC report). As someone with C style, I am motivated by opportunities to gain knowledge. I am always learning new
