Individual Report By: David Mulkey 1. Description of the procedure used: What my group did was we divided the work into three, so we could finish the experiment quickly and then share our results. We would each take one lab instrument such as the pipette at a time and find the mass of the instrument at three different volumes. Once we had all acquired our data we shared our results with one another. By doing this, we had collected all twenty-seven measurements for our graph. Note: the pipette took some practice to get a feel for how someone should hold the pipette and its top to acquire a desired effect such as getting one milliliter of water. One should hold the pipette firmly in their hand with the bottom of the pipette in the water. After this one should squeeze the top with a firm grip then place it snuggly over the top of the pipette to suck the water up. 2. The measured density of water at room temperature: Instrument Mass Volume Density David Cylinder 35.18g 10mL .96g/mL 33.3g 8mL
