Faculty Guide EPC II Small Group February 09 , 201 1 This year we are going to combine debriefing the preceptorship with sharing reflective projects. Please ask students to share their projects with the group. Ideally, each student will read or show their project to the whole group. If they are hesitant to read every word than they can ask another group member to read it out loud for them. Or, students can just describe and explain the project. Faculty will collect the projects and bring them to the Division of Internal Medicine Office, Shands Room 4120 after small group . Make sure that each project is labeled with students name and title. Include a description of the inspiration for your project and, if necessary, a brief explanation. We plan to display them during Medical Education Week, with students' permission, and photograph them for educational purposes before they are returned to the students. Guidelines for discussion 1. What was your inspiration for the project? Was it a specific patient or physician interaction? Or was it a more general feeling about the practice of medicine 2. Encourage students to put the experience reflected in the project in to the larger context of their experience on the preceptorship. Make sure that they each have a chance to s hare his or her preceptorship experience with the group. a.
