Minerals to know for first exam This list is a subset of the overall mineral list that will be fair game on the first mid-term exam. Remember, for the ones with asterisk (*), you should know their stoichiometery. The other minerals, you just need to know what group they occur in and their major cations other than Si or Al. The complete list of minerals can be downloaded from the class website. This list will tell you the group of the minerals.
