See the attached data for a series of rainfall stations located within the Everglades National Park in Florida. do the following: (a) Compute the mean and variance of the spatial data. (b) Convert the latitude/longitude to spatial coordinates (UTM). Use a coordinate converter such as this: http://www.cellspark.com/UTM.html (c) Compute the covariance function R(r) for this spatial data using the procedure discussed in class. (d) Use kriging to interpolate rainfall values to 5 locations of your choice. Make one of these locations a measured one so you can confirm the accuracy of the kriging calculations (as discussed in class). Choose your locations so you can find interesting results. Discuss the accuracy of the results in terms of the kriging variance.
