Toyota Lab 1 CHM 1025L: An Introduction to Chemistry Lab Spring 2008 LABORATORY INTRODUCTION: You are personally responsible for being dressed properly and handling the chemicals properly. Safety is VERY important. We all need to practice good safety techniques. LABORATORY TEXT: Laboratory Experiments for CHM 1025 , available on your instructor’s website. PERSONAL PROTECTION AND SAFETY: ~ No one is permitted in the laboratory without safety glasses and close-toed shoes. These items must be worn at ALL times. Plastic safety glasses are available at the SFCC bookstore. ~ No one is permitted to work in the laboratory until the instructor is present. ~ You should note the locations of the fire extinguishers, the fire blanket, the overhead shower, and the eye wash facility. If necessary, use them. ~ There is no smoking, eating, or drinking in the laboratory at any time. ~ If an accident does occur, report it to your instructor AT ONCE .
