Minimal Credit Requirements:124 2. First-Year Engineering Core Courses. 3. 4. Phys 241, Phys 261, Biol 121, Biol 230, and organic chemistry. 5. General Education: Engineering’s General Education Program requirements (Economics, Spanish,English,etc). Differences: *Interdisciplinary Engineering (IDE) -Take Statistics as an elective. -Take Organic Chemistry as a selective science course. -Need to take Total Engineering Area Courses such as: Required selective in area: -CAD Course such as: CGT 110, 163, 164; THTR 554 3 or 2 Elective Courses in area: -ENGL 421, COM 325, MA 303 (if take MA 262), MGMT 200, MGMT 201, OBHR 300, additional engineering courses, and other courses to meet educational objectives. *Electrical Engineering, Compter Engineering: -Need to take Core Curriculum for either one of the two majors you wish to do: ECE 20100, 20200, 20700, 20800, 25500, 26400, 27000, 30100, 30200, 33700, 36200, 36400, and 36800. -Take ECE Seminars (1 credit hour): ECE 20000 and 40000. -Take Advanced CmpE Requirement: ECE 43700 and either 46800 or 46900. -Take Senior Design Requirement: ECE 40200, 47700, or at least 3 credit hours of EPCS 40100/40200 taken over 2 successive semesters. -You can change your major between your 4 th semester and 5 th semester. The reason is because you can substitute or transfer equivalent courses except for IDE 301, which is a junior level course and a Professional Preparation course to IDE as well.

ENGR 13100 – Fall 2010 HW 3 Problem 2 - School of ECE List: 1. Lamp -Computer Engineering -Electrical Engineering Computer engineers design and supervise the circuit design of the light bulb and then Electrical engineers put it all together in reality. Electrical Engineers designs, develop, test, and manufacture the lamp and can replace it when there is a problem to it. 2. Laptop -Computer Engineering -Electrical Engineering Computer engineer’s design and develop hardware and software for the computer. For example, they manufacture computer chips and hard drives and every little piece that a computer needs in installment. With interior hardware, they can design the outer part of the laptop like having a webcam or effective keyboard that feels like a normal computer keyboard.
