Our main focus of the project was to design the Commuter System of 2020 for Purdue University. The greater Lafayette Community, and potentially for other cities in the U.S. To reduce energy consumption of the current system and increase the use of public transportation.

1. The system should be eco-friendly. 2. The system should help reduce traffic on Purdue by at least 10 percent. 3. The system should help reduce emissions by 50 percent (minimum). 4. The system should help reduce accidents.

Our solution was the ULTra System. How it works : It has its own track that runs on electricity. It works like a car/bus because it runs on wheels and has loading stations. Unique features : It produces low emissions (very efficient) - it has a non-stop destination program installed in the system. Very silent compared to other forms of transportation. Strengths : Almost no-waiting time (1min-3min), fast-travel. No intermediate stops. Weaknesses
