Xavier Baquero 10-0126 Leadership I Wednesday, July 14 th , 2010 Professor Shindell The Extraordinary character of the Extraordinary Character of Winston Churchill Book Review When you read about someone who left permanent tracks in the sand of history, you learn, you try to follow the footsteps that took him to glory, and leap those over those who made him struggle. To be a leader, it does not mean to always be right, to only accomplish and achieve, for there is no perfect human being, we do mistakes and we fall. To be a leader means to hold your head high, to stand up stronger from the ground and be your best, this is Sir Winston Churchill’s reflection. Churchill was a leader, because he always had followers, by being an intellectual with a reliable point of view, which took him to high positions in political parties and government at an early age. And even though he had to resign from his Admiralty position, due to his unsuccessful Gallipoli campaign, he returned later on and became Prime Minister. Churchill was able to lift himself up and brush himself
