First of all we have many people who live in the United States who can do IT support because most of this comes up on a screen if you can read, write, and work on a  computer, IT support can be done as in the United States as well. I am not saying other countries cannot do this type of work either apparently they can or we wouldn't have lost  so many jobs here in the United States already. I understand the aspect of organizations wanting to improve their bottom line profits by offshoring, but where does this end?  When in Economics about 2 years ago I learned how bad our Economic situation already was, and offshoring is not helping matters. I have known several people affected by  the offshoring in 1999 Black N' Decker was working on sending some of their plants to Mexico which was a few year plan, I left before the effect but my father stayed until the  last possible moment and then was basically forced to retire early taking a decrease in Social Security Benefits because of early retirement, I know you all are thinking go get  another job right? Well wrong there were not many jobs already in the area we lived in this is why I moved out of state because we already drove an hour drive to and from work  to be employed at Black N' Decker in the first place. And he owned his home so selling and moving along with his age was stacked up against him. I know have a neighbor that  her factory is already moved to Mexico but the workers cannot keep up yet to close this plant down completely, so she is lucky to still have her job, they don't know what they  will do when the actual plant totally closes because her husband has cancer and they may just sell their place if they can and move closer to her family because her husband  doesn't want her alone when he finally dies from the cancer. I also know people who won't take a job unless it makes at least a certain amount. Many people are either at the  end of the very heavily extended unemployment or already done. It seems the whole United States many people are losing their jobs, homes, and still wanting a miracle. For

What students are saying

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

I cannot even describe how much Course Hero helped me this summer. It’s truly become something I can always rely on and help me. In the end, I was not only able to survive summer classes, but I was able to thrive thanks to Course Hero.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
