The purpose of a living will is to provide a declaration in reference to the kind of medical a person wants in the event they become incapacitated and cannot make the decisions. 5. How has medical technology influenced the subject of the right to die? Medical technology has assisted in making it easier to keep a person alive even in the worst of vegetative states. It has also made it difficult to prevent someone from being on life support if there is not an advance directive beforehand. I think technology has hampered the right to die....
