Jamie M Dotson English 1010 Brain Sex I am married with two children and have just returned to school to work on an accounting degree. For the past couple of years, my marriage has been rock. My husband is disabled. He has a rare bone disease that causes his bones to break and fracture very easily. The stress of finances, children and his health had taken a toll on our marriage. I was feeling unappreciated, misunderstood and neglected. I have to bare most of the responsibility in our household because he is not always able to. Last semester, I had to take General Speech. I had to write a paper on a communication topic. After much thought, I finally decided on communication between men and women. This leads me to check out the book “Brain Sex” by Anne Moir from the library. Although I didn’t agree with everything the book stated, it really opened my eyes to the main problem in my marriage. It was miscommunication. The book begins by discussing the differences between men and women. The female
