Anthony, I completely agree with you that both stories are similar in a way, yet they both have differences that separate them from each other. One of the differences that stood out to me that you mentioned was that the moods presented in the plays were definitely different. In A Raisin in the Sun it was more about uncertainty, grief, trust and despair while in Othello it was more about greed, death and revenge.

In Othello it was a tragic ending when he killed his family and there was nothing left they could do. In A Raisin in the sun despite everything that happened with the son losing the money, they still had things to look forward to....
