Rationale and Analysis Behind the Recommended Course of Action Kudler Fine Foods (KFF) is a typical mid-size food retailer. The best decision for the company is to purchase industry-specific software. This software not only fits Company’s needs right “out of the box”, but usually has extra features beneficial or even necessary in the near future. Software developers research specific industry needs through feedback from Kudler’s competitors or large scale retailers, and add extra features to its product to meet customer’s needs. Industry specific software is usually significantly less expensive as compared to custom designed software, which might cost millions. Kudler will benefit from working with a service provider who understands retail industry requirements and problems. The provider can give to Kudler useful suggestions regarding alterations in the software that company’s management may not even think about.
