Japan and Stem Cell Research 1 Japan Economy Japan is a free-market economy and is still the third largest economy in the world behind China and the United States. Japans economy uses the currency called the Yen and is the world’s fourth largest exporter and importer. In order for the economy to be profitable it needs to export more goods, then it imports. That why when there is a natural disasters like the earthquake and tsunami that happened in March. Not only do the people of Japan suffer from the effects but so does the world market and countries that relies on Japan’s exports. The Japanese Economy is mostly all based on different Technologies for motor vehicles, electronics and textiles and other products. Japan a very low revenue tax compared to the United States. This giving them a very low unemployment rate for how many people live in the country. Most Japanese workers work only for one company their whole life because the companies will promote a person based on how long they have work at the company. Making a person that starts
