Discussion Week 1 CIS246 Explain ways that networking has changed society in the past 10 years. Do you feel that computer networking has impacted your life? One way networking has changed my life in the last ten years is that it has made life much more convenient to stay in touch with friends and family across the world. The way we live life now means that everything is wireless and mobile. So everyone can stay in touch with everything that is going on in the world; examples of this are Facebook and Twitter. Going to school online is another thing that has changed in society, making it easier for people to get a degree and work at the same time. This is because of the wireless network; students can log onto their classroom and turn in their work. All it takes is an Internet access - wired or wireless. The networking has changed from Ethernet connection or wired networking to wireless networking in the past ten years. The Internet networking started with a telephone wire and a dial up connection.
