Healthy Eating Plan Comparison Michelle Nolan March 13, 2011 Nutrition is such a hit or miss part of life. There always seems to be no happy medium but in reality there is. I have learned more than anything the last 7 weeks that everything in moderation is ok as long as when you take in the bad stuff you are exercising and doing everything that you can to get it out of your system as well. As you will see my habits have changed. The thing about nutrition is that it doesn’t have to be drastic changes just small changes in things can make such a large difference. For example, the first week when I did my dietary workup I learned that I was eating too much beans and meat and not enough dairy. In my first week I was short in dairy. In this 3 day comparison I was right on target! I consumed exactly what I should have. I have learned too that eating three meals a day is very important. In my first 3 day comparison I was cramming all of the nutrition that I needed into one, maybe two meals a day! It is tough to balance what you need in one meal! I learned that I needed to balance my meats and vegetables much better than I was. This round I was on target with my meats where the first time I was an average of 5 oz to much! I was also 4.5 ounces over in my vegetables. This time my vegetables were still high but only by an average of a ½ ounce. I am a big salad eater.
