When Descartes claims that he exists, he shows that he can deiced about what happens to him. That he will go against God and become what he wants. I think that what Descartes is saying about existing is true. We all exist even if it turns out that we only exist in Gods mind. Which could be true, as Descartes states Who puts into me the thoughts Im having(16), no one knows where our thoughts really come from and why we think about these things. He is tumbling around in his own head with his purpose and existence, trying to find his place in life. Through his writing he is expressing what everyone feels in their life, loss, worry and needing a sense of purpose.
