Running Head: TWO OR MORE SAMPLE HYPOTHESIS TESTING PAPER Introduction Team B is researching the wages and wage earners data sets. The data sets include annual wages in salary, age of the subjects, the industry, the occupation, and whether they were southern, non-white, or Hispanic. It also includes years worked, if they were union or nonunion, and whether or not the subjects were married. After evaluation of the data sets, the question is whether or not ethnicity is a factor in the amount of the subjects’ salary. With this information, Team B will conduct a two or more sample hypothesis test. Team B will formulate both a numerical and verbal hypothesis statement regarding the issue. The hypothesis question is whether ethnicity is a factor in a constituent’s salary. Salaries for those of Hispanic and Caucasian ethnicities will be tested. Team B will also describe the five- step hypothesis test and explain the findings of the hypothesis testing involved. Finally, a raw data table and the results of the computation in a form of a graphical and tabular method will display the data and results. Numerical and Verbal Hypothesis Statement Many individuals continually ponder the questions: In general, do men earn more money than women and why?
