Franklin Cooper’s Suggestions (11/2009): I just redid Lab8a just so I can get C working since it is a lot easier to do Lab 9 with it. I finally got the code to work by changing the settings of PLLCR and DIVSEL and CPU_RATE. The general formula is: (CLKIN * PLLCR)/DIVSEL = SysClkOut PLLCR should be set to 0 since we don't want to speed up the Clock . DIVSEL should be kept at 2 which is the default. I believe this is the automatic prescaler which is why our 15 MHz clock runs at 7.5 MHz from the perspective of the CPU. Finally the CPU_RATE should be set to 133.30L. I have no idea how they come up with this value but I saw that they have the value 13.330 for 75MHz SysClkout so I just shifted the decimal point to the right one place. All these values are set within DSP2833x_Examples.h which is found at tidcs\c28\DSP2833x\v131\DSP2833x_common\include After making those changes I can run the C code with no problems. Few Quirks I found when using C: Before setting any Peripherals registers, the peripheral clock must be

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
