Software Downloading: Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 CS 171: Introduction to C++ Programming for Engineers Spring 2011 (Adapted from Professor Bates) Note: You do not have to download Visual Studio. You can use the computers in the ACC to fulfill the requirements of this course. Outside the ACC, computers may or may not have Visual Studio. (You won’t be able to change their configuration without an administrative password). However, this download is necessary if you wish to use a home computer and don’t have Visual Studio already installed. Downloading software: You should receive email from the MSDN academic alliance. This means you can download the development environment we are using in this class. Your account name is your full mavmail address. The password is sent to you by MSDN. If you lose it, try to log on since there is a link to have them resend your password. What you need to do is go to Software and select Visual Studio 2005 Professional Edition CD1. You should also select Visual Studio 2005 Professional
