Diegan 1 Jonathan Diegan Dr. Natalie M. Dorfeld February 8, 2008 English 112 Education: What Path Should You Take? There is an old saying “where your heart is there you will also be.” Well, if this is true, then I should not be attending Thiel College. Most weekends you will find me at one of the many state institutions in this great state of PA. It sounds hypocritical to even think that I belong on a state campus because all I have known is private colleges from high school to now. I first attended Grove City College, and after many sub-par test grades and lack of help, I was dropped by the college. Then I began to attend Thiel College and have had a good GPA but racked up a large amount of debt in just one year. After seeing how much I have spent over the course of this year commuting, I have looked into state campuses. Before college, I dreaded these large and scary social hives; however, after two years of college, I visit one almost every weekend. I don’t know if the lack of effort I received from Grove City has turned me off of the private college scene, or if I have just found a new side of myself that I like when I am around a state college.
