First Nike Fitness Center to Open in Manhattan, New York Press Release Beaverton, Oregon December 10, 2012 Nike, Inc. the major publicly traded sportswear and equipment supplier will be launching the first Nike Fitness Center in Spring 2011 located at 1109 2 nd Ave (between 58 th and 59 th street) “The influence Nike has already had on society is immeasurable, we feel as though a fitness center is the logical next step for Nike.” Says CEO Jamie Arkin. The entirely new branch of Nike plans to change the way people view fitness. “ We want our members to see working out as challenging, rewarding as well as entertaining. Nike Fitness Arena is the perfect product for anyone looking for a gym with the complete package”
