Topics includes Legal, social and ethical issues in the IT professional industry; Software Sales; Licensing and Agency; Contract Fundamentals; Agencies and Regulatory Bodies; Ethics and Protection of Intellectual Property Rights; Ethics: Personal and Professional Responsibility And Codes; Ethical Models; Risks, Loses and Liabilities in Computing Applications. 11 Learning Objectives The aim of this course is to give foundation to students, which is required to make an appropriate decision in their professional lives with difficult situations involving (ethical issues, violation of professional code of practices, legal issues, privacy boundaries, Cyber and workplace crimes) and make a positive impact in the field of IT. Detailed aims of this course could be listed as: 1. Overview a. Students will understand how computing and information systems give rise to social issues and ethical dilemmas. 2. Ethics: a. To make students capable of making an appropriate decision in their professional lives with difficult situations involving ethical issues and make a positive impact in the field of IT. 3. Privacy a. To make students capable of making an appropriate decision in their professional lives with difficult situations involving Privacy issues to make a positive impact in the field of IT. 4. Cyber and Workplace Crimes a. To make students capable of making an appropriate decision in their professional lives with difficult situations involving ethical issues and make a positive impact
