However, everyone faces their dilemmas very differently and how we deal with these challenges are all influenced on our worldview and behavior. At the end of these dilemmas our worldview may change by every shape or form. Examining a case of a patient with an ethical dilemma on ending her own life legally will help us understand both perspectives from a Christian and Atheist worldview. Ethical DilemmaIn this case study it involves a teenage girl named, Joni. Joni was 17 when she went out to enjoy a day of swimming with her friends. She dove right into the cool, crisp water without knowing that the depth of the water was not what she had expected. Unfortunately, due to the misjudgment Joni fractured her vertebrae and was left paralyzed from the shoulders down. This dilemma left Joni feeling worthless and she fellinto depression. She’s in a very dark place and believes that she has no reasoning to stay alive.
