1 The Personality Tests I took two personality tests and found out that they both seemed to sound just like me. How is that possible without even knowing me? But how valid are the results? When the results came back it was so ironic, I actually thought I had written the answers myself. Well, I think that they pick out a bunch of answers that everyone could relate too. Not saying that everyone would be happy with the same answers, but as long as the answers were generally realistic, people will accept these answers as their own and think that the test is valid. Surely without knowing a person, how could someone honestly give you a personality test? Depending on the test, let’s say: a “color test”, I guess you could find out a lot about someone’s personality. If you like red, it could mean you are either a very loving person, or you have a very fiery personality, with a short temper. So they make up a general explanation which would appeal to people who like red. They would say something like, you are hot headed, you
