Unformatted text preview: homeless in the US. Of these individuals 23% are chronically homeless. Chronically homeless is defined as an individual who has been continually homeless for over one year. The chronically homeless may feel as if they are stuck and destined to remain homeless for the remainder of their lives thus behavior and personal perception changes are a necessity to help them become a functioning member of society. Our government needs to help out more. We have children that go to bed hungry, and more and more people that go homeless. We spend billions of dollars helping out other countries which is great, but we need to take care of our own first....
