Unformatted text preview: Amazon Evolution XBIS 219 June 26, 2011 Stephanie Varela Amazon.com is a business with a long track record and the name recognition. As the markets evolves so does Amazon. To keep up with the internet giants such as Google and Microsoft, Amazon as made substantial changes and advances in its business model to keep up with the constant change. Traditionally Amazon has been focused on being the largest internet retailer. Although they have reached this goal and have made a substantial amount of money, Amazon lacks the consistent growth and annual increase in profits that are expected from organization such as Amazon (Rainer, P.26). In response to the lack of profitability and steady increase in production, Amazon expanded the services it provides by utilizing the massive infrastructure that it spent so many years and money building. Amazon, to the general public has not changed and is still a website where they are able to shop with ease from different sellers all over the world. Cause Amazon only uses a small portion of their infrastructures, from different sellers all over the world....
