Unformatted text preview: BISC 105, Fall 2010 Syllabus The labs for Bisc 105 consist of formal labs, where we meet in the laboratory classroom, and an independent project that will be presented by students at the end of the semester. Each section will be divided into Red and Blue teams that will meet alternating weeks for the formal labs as indicated on the syllabus. Homework for each lab meeting includes reading the laboratory chapter assigned for that week and completing the assigned homework. Work in lab will include completing a worksheet and taking a quiz. The quiz will be based on the reading that should be done in preparation for the lab. Homework is due at the beginning of the lab period. Homework turned in after the start of the lab will be considered late, and will be assigned half credit. In order to get full points for each lab, students must be in lab until dismissed by the T.A. To get full credit for a worksheet, it must be turned in at the end of lab when the T.A. dismisses the class. The paper is due at the laboratory meeting two weeks after the missed date and can count 10 points. Only one lab can be made up this way. Quizzes cannot be made up but one quiz grade can be dropped....
