IE-122 Spring 2011 QUIZ 1 Time: 1:10- 3:10 p.m Instructions for the quiz: 1. Make a separate folder for each question. 2. Prepare a folder including all your question subfolders. 3. Name the folder as “yourusername”. 4. Zip the folder (right click and add to zip) and submit to the course site. 5. You are not allowed to use any messenger or email account during the quiz. 6. You cannot contact with your friends during the quiz. Question #1. Remember your homework #1 question of selling electronic items. You have already solved it in AMPL. Now using sets and parameters make a data file and a mod file and solve the same problem again. The problem description is as follows: A group of young entrepreneurs earns a (temporarily) steady living by acquiring inadequately supervised items from electronics stores and re-selling them. Each item has a street value, a weight, and a volume; there are limits on the numbers of available items, and on the total weight and volume that can be managed at one time.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
