IE-122 Spring 2011 QUIZ 2 – March 30, 2011 Time: 1:10- 3:00 p.m Instructions for the quiz: 1. Make a separate folder for each question. 2. Prepare a folder including all your question subfolders. 3. Name the folder as “yourusername”. 4. Zip the folder (right click and add to zip) and submit to the course site. 5. You are not allowed to use any messenger or email account during the quiz. 6. You cannot contact with your friends during the quiz. Question #1. Consider the network in the following figure. The numbers near to the nodes represent the demand or supply. If the value is positive it is a supply and if the value is negative it represents the demand of the node. The numbers on the links shows the cost of transferring 1 unit on the link (the first number) and the capacity of the link (second number) e.g. (cost, capacity). Write the most efficient model you learned for this problem (e.g. using default, union, intersection, etc of sets) Find the minimum cost flow on the network.
